News:

The ECWG Spread out for Ard Boyz this year and managed to pull a few second round tickets. We will be driving down to Orlando for the Semi Finals with 6 people in our traveling group. The venue is said to have around 60 people so wish us luck!

Club Shirts
We are working on some bowling style, club shirts to show our colors as we travel across local store tournaments and conventions alike. These are going to be fairly expensive ($40 – 50 range) but will be available for those that want them.

The ECWG traveling team went back to Fairhope, Alabama and more than made up for the previous trip. Previously we took 3rd, 4th, and 5th; this time we did a bit better...

This Month:

August is all about Ard Boyz so get your fill of playing 2500 points. With the big prizes on the line, 3 stores in the area hosting preliminaries and a local store hosting the secondary round the competition this year is more intense than ever. 2 On 2 – Jaks Biloxi MS
July 2^nd the ECWG club traveled to Jaks in Biloxi for a 3,000 point per side team tournament. 6 teams were in attendance so the tournament organizers setup a round robin style competition with the SMG (South Mississippi Gamers) vs. our ECWG. Overall we took 1^st, 2^nd, and 4^th with the total prize money = $110 store credit which we will use to buy some terrain for use at TBS.

Overall I want to say that this was a very fun event and it was nice playing against some new faces and running into some others that we met in Alabama. We all look forward to heading out that way again in the future.

This summer is jam packed with 40k events and the ECWG is hitting them in full force. This month our traveling group will be going back to the Battle @ the Bay 40k Tournament in Fairhope Alabama and try to do better than 3^rd , 4^th , and 5^th. The competition is tough, but so are we.

This Month: Battle @ the Bay

The ECWG is packing up and hitting the road this upcoming Saturday morning for the Battle @ The Bay 40k tournament in Fairhope Alabama.  We should have about 6 – 8 people in our pool and hopefully we can take some of the top tables.

Club News:

Adepticon has come and gone and what a great time it was, I highly recommend that every 40k gamer try to attend it at least once because it truly is what this hobby is all about. Next year will be the 10^th anniversary of Adepticon and I would not want to miss it. Start saving now!

The Kalm was washed out by the tornadoes; we send our best wishes out to those that suffered loss at the hands of Mother Nature. We will see you guys next year.

We also missed the first American Team Championship (ATC) due to bad timing on our part. We tried to fit a hodge-podge team together at the last minute but the dreams of a second round Fantasy Ard Boyz in the same weekend really put it as a low priority. We will have an ECWG team for next year to compete at the national level.
